Kellogg's Love Your Cereal Mom's Breakfast Club- Week 12
I've really enjoyed telling you about Kellogg's Love Your Cereal over the past 12 weeks, and thanks so much for your comments. This is the last week I'm giving away a $100 Visa Gift Card, so let's make it a good one!
The holidays are drawing near(I know!), and we begin to make plans with friends and family. Often (maybe too often, according to the scale), these plans are centered around a meal, such as Christmas breakfast.
Meal time is a great time for family traditions, everyone is usually together, and mornings are often spent with the immediate family before the hub bub of the day begins.
When our kids were younger, we used to have pancakes every Sunday morning, but sports now have us running out the door on some Sundays, so we don't do it as often. We don't really have any other morning traditions except for a Sausage Breakfast Casserole on Christmas morning, but I think we need to start one before our oldest leaves for college in a couple of years.
How about you? Do you have any yearly (or more frequent)morning traditions? I could use some ideas!
Cereal can be a convenient and affordable part of a balanced, nutritious breakfast. Want to know more? Check out Kellogg's Love Your Cereal.

We don’t have a special tradition for breakfast only on Saturdays when our schedule is relaxed and less rigid we enjoy french toast, scrambled eggs or cheese grits! :-)

Our ritual consists of me cooking breakfast every morning. Scrambled eggs, sometimes waffles, crepes, french toast, or oatmeal. Then I help the kiddos get ready! On holidays we always make a little something holiday related for breakfast, like Boo-Berry Muffins!

On X-mas day we have a yummy casserole called Mountain Man. It's o'brien potatoes, eggs, sausage, cheese, and crushed up cornflakes on top. We serve it with salsa and sour cream, and I make a big fruit salad to serve on the side.
It's been a family fav. for years.

We have a weekly tradition of going on to breakfast one weekend morning. The local diner we go to knows us by name and are so great to my son. It is a fun thing to do as a family and I don't have to do dishes when we are done!

My morning tradition is first to make a cup of coffee. After that, pretty much anything goes. We used to have fresh donuts or cinnamon buns on Christmas before we cut way back on sugar.

Christmas morning is the certainly my favorite morning. My kids are early morning risers, and Christmas morning is no different. They are up usually at about 6am. We watch them open all their presents while my husband and I drink our coffee. The stash of new toys keeps them busy while I start cooking breakfast. Our tradition is french toast (made with my mother's homemade Challah bread), bacon, eggs, and homemade home fries. We feast and it usually keeps us full and satisfied until Christmas dinner is ready!

We have never had any real traditions that are consistent from year to year. Breakfast is whatever we decide on the spur of the moment. If we are particularly ambitious it might be waffles or pancakes. Otherwise it would be cereal or yogurt and a granola bar.

We always have breakfast at my house Christmas morning! We invite my aunt and uncle, mom and dad, grandparents - and everyone sits down for a nice family breakfast and my 5 year old son gets to show off his gifts from Santa! This year we'll have a new addition - I have a baby due in a week, so it will be a little more challenging, but definitely special! I'll be out on unpaid maternity leave through Christmas, so I would LOVE to win this to help actually purchase our breakfast items. Thanks for the chance! Here's crossing my fingers!! :)

On Christmas morning, we open presents first, then we eat breakafast, much, much, later. Usually everyone is so excited that food is the last thing on our minds. So, breakfast usally doesn’t happen until 11 or so. I make pancakes later on.
