Win a $150 Spa Gift Card with Pepperidge Farm Petite Pirouette® and Petite Twists®!
During a busy day, it's important to take some time out for yourself, even if just for a moment. Often, a break involves a treat or a snack, but sometimes we find ourselves finishing up the kids' leftovers instead.
Why not indulge yourself with something a little more elegant?
We recently had the chance to try out two kinds of treats from Pepperidge Farm Petite Pirouette and Petite Twists.
Petite Pirouette wafers are delicate, crispy rolled wafers with creamy, chocolaty filling on the inside. Try either the chocolate hazelnut or chocolate crème flavor - or both! Three Petite Pirouette rolled wafers add up to 90 carefree calories! The chocolate crème ones in particular were a big hit around here.
Petite Twists puffed pastries have layers of delicate, crisp pastry swirled with sweet cinnamon or raspberry. A delightful treat with 90 calories in two treats! These are really good, too. They're crunchy (but not hard) and they're not too sweet. Both treats are great for a little indulgence and are fancy enough for guests as well. Try them as a garnish to ice cream or frozen yogurt.

A day all to myself is so rare (husband and I both work from home)! I'd play my piano whenever I felt like (bothers hubby when he's composing, so have to 'time' it). I'd cook any smelly thing I'd wanted. Eat when I want and read.
Thanks for the brief mental holiday ;-).
By gactor, At 4:01 PM, November 02, 2009
I'd curl up with a good book and a cup of tea, later take a stroll.....take things as they come instead of having to stick to a schedule.
By momznite, At 7:10 PM, November 02, 2009
sleep in, get my nails done and enjoy the quiet with a good book and a starbucks!!!!
By Melissa Angert {All Things Chic}, At 7:26 AM, November 03, 2009
A day to myself would be a day for me to do something just for me. Like getting caught up on my scrapbooking without having any little ones their to help me (i.e. cut up my pictures).
By controlling craziness, At 9:41 AM, November 03, 2009
A day to myself? What's that? In my dreamworld, I would start by sleeping in, going out to lunch with a girlfriend, maybe doing some shopping, a massage, oohh, the possibilities are limitless. But in reality, I'd probably end up cleaning or running errands.
By Kelsey, At 1:41 PM, November 03, 2009
Wow a day to myself would be no laundry, cooking or cleaning. Sleep in and I'm not sick. (but even if moms are sick we really don't get to sleep in. I would put on some soft music and read a good book, then go get a manicure/pedi. Ooh La la! :-)
By LaDonna, At 8:15 PM, November 03, 2009
Ahh, a day to myself...
I would love to read a good book, work on some knitting/crochet, watch a good Chick Flick, and take a nap. Sounds luxurious!
By Mommy Daisy, At 8:58 PM, November 03, 2009
The best day would be one I get to spend with my husband - most days right now are 'days to myself' because of his crazy schedule.
I'd love to have a slow day with him where we just hang out together - we have a 'gourmet picnic' tradition for lunch or dinner, and we love to work out together and explore new places.

I would probably get up early and go out for coffee and a sweet treat. I would then get my nails done and go shopping--not even to spend money but just to go into all of the stores you can't with a five year old, toddler and infant.

Come home cook my favorite meal with a nice glass of wine with jazz music in the background. Then watch my favorite episodes of the Golden Girls. :-)

One large bottle of Canada Dry Original Club Soda. One lounge chair (with a blanket if it's cool) with a view of Safford Peak. A stack of books, crossword puzzles and my iPod.

By Ashleigh Burroughs, At 11:21 AM, November 25, 2009
Oh what an amazing luxury that would be! I would get up and head to the beach for a run and then grab a coffee and sit and watch the waves for a bit. Then head home for a long leisurely shower and check my email in peace. I would then go to a couple of shops that I don't normally get to go to and window shop (money is tight). I would then head to a movie (I do enjoy a movie by myself occasionally). Then off to a quiet restaurant to enjoy a solo dinner.
